How many hotel rooms do we need?

How many hotel rooms do we need for our group: 5 adults, 6 children ages 12,10,9,7,6,2. We are thinking about 3 hotel rooms but I heard that Japan hotel rooms are small with small beds.

The answer will depend on whether the rooms are single/twin/double, and whether adults are willing to share double beds etc.

some hotels, especially ryokans, have triple and eve nquad roms.have a look a www.japanhotel.net t ogive you an ida of rooms types and prices. it will takes a bit of time but it is the only way to get an idea. unless you go to hotels like Hilton etc. but even there you can't have too many people in one room.
