Internet Hotel booking

Has anyone booked a hotel in Tokyo thru travelrakuten website before? is it reliable? any other hidden charges upon arrival?

I have long been using this site but never had a trouble before.

I've booked and cancelled with them before. No problems yet.

You have to give your Credit Card number though which I think is a hassle because when you want to cancel, the fine print says, you have to contact the hotel to find out if you can cancel in a timely manner so no charges will be billed.

It is a third party site and bears to responsiblity if the hotel charges you .

They're great, considering the prices are cheaper as well.
booked with them plenty of times and with no hitch and no unwanted surprises.
