Bus ride from Osaka to Tokyo

Hi, I intend to travel by day bus from Osaka to Tokyo (8 hours) to avoid inconveniences of having 2 kids and 2 large luggages and to change train from Uehonmachi Station in Osaka to Shinjuku Station in Tokyo.

Can you please share your experience on this long distance bus ride. Any recommendation to the bus company?

If you think your kids could handle the long bus ride I would suggest doing it at night. Saves on accommodation as well. The night bus stops every few hours for a 30 min restroom/restaurant break and to switch drivers.

I highly recommend it if you are able to sleep on buses or airplanes. If you are not comfortable taking buses for long distances then the shinkansen would be a better choice.
