I think it's a little extreme. It's close to 4,000 yen.

I believe the JR train takes a little over 20 minutes, and costs a little over 190 Yen.

It maps to approx 14km which should cost between 6000-7000 yen. I agree with Ken that you should use the train.

by train the previous posters mean the JR Yamanote Loop line that links most of Tokyo's main neighbourhoods. In Japan's main towns (as in Europe) rapid transit is faster and cheaper than cabs. not to mention that JR has englis hsigns all over the place while cabs drivers may not understand youa nd vice versa.
