Is it possible to walk between Tsumago and Magome in winter? We are planning to go there during the first week of January (Shogatsu)? Any advice appreciated... Thanks.

I don't think that the Kiso Valley gets much snow, and guess that the trail is walkable most of the time except maybe after a heavy snowfall. But I cannot guarantee.

.. and there was some lingering snow and some ice near the waterfalls. A lot of slipping and sliding.
Still good, but it made me think that winter must have a snow cover in the winter months, at least some of the time.
The surrounding landscape must be very beautiful then.
