Visiting the monkeys at the hot springs

We will be staying at Hakuba (Happo One) first and then Shiga Kogen (Ichinose). We would like to visit the monkeys in the hot springs. Can we do this on our transfer day with our luggage? Can we get from Hakuba to the monkeys and then from monkeys to Shiga Kogen?

Geographically, the monkeys are just at the entrance to Shiga Kogen. If you come from Hakuba, you will pass there. However, from the street it is a 30 minute walk to the monkey park. You don't want to do this with luggage.
