Is there good japan hostel?

I've read quite a number of poor reviews about japan hostel. Does anyone got recommendation for cheap, safe and clean hostel in tokyo, osaka and fukouka especially for women?

Try searching for minshuku, they are like private rooms in a home. Alot of hostels have women only dorms and even women only floors if they are mutli story.
