Shinjuku to Gotemba Outlet

I'm visiting Japan in December. What is the best and easiest way to go from Shinjuku to Gotemba Outlet? How much would it cost?

By train

There are various routes. You can look them up here by entering your starting station, e.g. Tokyo and destination station (Gotemba):

From Gotemba Station, you can reach the outlet in a short, free shuttle bus ride.

By direct bus:
1 round trip per day each (weekends only) from Tokyo Station and Shinjuku Station. The trip duration is 80-100 minutes. The round trip fare is 2800 yen

By bus via Gotemba IC
There are lots of buses from Tokyo (Tokyo and Shinjuku Station) to Gotemba IC, from where you can reach the outlet in a short ride on a free shuttle bus. Round trip fare is around 3000 yen.

Could anyone advise on the schedule of the weekend bus from Shinjuku to Gotemba? I saw it from the Gotemba outlet website, but its in Japanese. Could someone help explain it in English? Much appreciated!

Hi, thanks. I have looked through the page, but it doesn't give any timing on the bus departure times. Could anyone help to advise bus timings?

Odakyu Hakone Highway Buses operate every 20-30 minutes betwen Shinjuku and Gotemba (Station and IC):

Is Gotemba outlet worth going or is there any factory outlet in Tokyo that is more worthwhile? I saw on the website that there is a shopping tour bus. o u kn if it runs on weekdays,operating hr and cost?

Hi, saw the website.. Can the JR pass be use on any of the bus or train that goes to Gotemba? Thanks.
