Toyoko Inn Ikebukuro or Shinjuku?

Hi. Has anyone stayed at both of these hotels? I'm just wondering which is more accessible or anything along those lines. An exciting area is no problem, as I am a young male. The only con I've heard for Shinjuku is that it's quite a long walk from the station? Is that also the case with Ikebukuro? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
