I donft know where do you live in. But I can say gSomei-Yoshinoh(Prunus~yedoensis) canft bloom in Okinawa, sub tropical islandDBecause, these flowers need cold winter before worm spring to bloom. They feel low temperature at first, feel warm temperature secondly, and know spring has come. : Sakura in Okinawa is another species gHikan-Zakurah (Prunus campanulata).

But Wikipedia said a kind of cherry looks like Somei-Yoshino blooms in Palawan island Philippine. I want to know what species is it.
