Traveling from Nagoya-Osaka-Nara-Kyoto-Nagoya. Should I buy this pass or is there a better way to travel? Do I have to book train seats in advance with this pass?

Traveling from Nagoya-Osaka-Nara-Kyoto-Nagoya. Should I buy this pass or is there a better way to travel? Do I have to book train seats in advance with this pass? Seishun 18 Kippu can be used only for local trains. If you want to travel comfortably and fast, I recommend using shinkansen from Nagoya-Osaka and Kyoto-Nagoya. Osaka-Nara-Kyoto can be done by local trains.

If you are traveling alone, regular tickets on local trains or highway buses will come cheaper than the Seishun 18 Kippu. If there are more of you, you might be able to save a few yen by using the Seishun 18 Kippu for the trips Nagoya-Osaka and Kyoto-Nagoya.
Do I have to book train seats in advance with this pass?
Seats on local and rapid trains are all non-reserved.
