I have plan to go to Kanazawa from Nagoya by LTD.Express Shirasagi No5,
How much fare I need to pay ? Not understand about
reserved and unreserved. Can I buy ticket from vending machine, if not where I have to buy ? Please help regards

It's about 7300 yen for reserved seats and about 6600 yen for unreserved seats.
If you buy "unreserved tickets," you have to queue up to get seats on the day of the departure (generally limited express trains come in the platform 30 min ahead of departure). If you have "reserved tickets," your seats are secured once you purchase the tickets.
You can buy tickets at some vending machine (for long-distance routes/reservation seats) but it is easier to buy it at ticket counter of JR stations, called "Midori no Madoguchi."

I think the best option is take the bus .
It costs around 7.000 yens for both ways . Plus the bus will drop you right downtown if u want and you don't have to change trains ,just seat and relax .
