Travelling Around Kyoto 2007/12/28 12:22
Hi, I was wondering what is the best way to travel around Kyoto, if people who live/travel there often can tell me. I've read the website information on the various passes, but I get the impression that for actual sightseeing just around the Kyoto area, it's unnecessary to get any of the Kansai passes etc., instead just using the normal train/bus tickets. Would this be the case?

yes buses, subways and trains.(you can get daily passes for Kyoto buses) please look in the pages on TRAVEL on this site (at the top) or write transportation in Kyoto in the small window right about the list of all the questions in the forum main page. You will get lots of info.
