Using Hikari Shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo is it possible? I saw the Japan rail website and normally it shows only Tokyo to Osaka...I need to know is all Shinkansen works in 2 ways direction Please advise, Thanks

Peggy, if all the Hikari Shinkansen only travel one way, how do they ever go back to the departure point? all trains in the world go back and forth between A and B, even in the few cases when there is one track.

Just to clarify. The shinkansen station in Osaka is called Shinosaka. Type that in when using hyperdia.
