Tokyo-Hakone-Kyoto 2007/12/28 23:55
Hi all!

I'm planning to travel around Tokyo (Shibuya, Akihabara, Asakusa, Harajuku, Ikebukuro and all Yamanote line zone) and visit also Hakone (for onsen) and Kyoto.
For Kyoto and Hakone trip I'm going to use Tokaido Shinkasen (Nozomi or Hikari).
I want to know if there is some Japan Rail Pass that covers all the expenses.

Thank you for all your help!

A Japan Rail Pass would cover all transportation except non JR transportation in Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto. It does cover the long distance trips by hikari between Tokyo and Kyoto. But it pays off only if you make a round trip between Tokyo and Kyoto within 7 days. Otherwise, regular tickets come cheaper.

And Hakone:
