Buying winter clothing in Tokyo 2007/12/29 13:58
Hi guys, Where do you recommend in Tokyo to purchase winter clothes for our trip to Sapporo. Not necessarily skiing clothes, just winter clothes.

Also are clothes cheaper in Japan than in Australia?

Thanks!

Shop in Japan 2007/12/30 00:43
Shopping in Japan is one of the cheapest in the world in terms of price vs quality. Shopping in Australia is EXTREMELY expensive. Everything in Australia is expensive. You can't have a $3 meal in Australia but in Japan, yes.

I think it depends on your size. If you are as small as Japanese, you can get clothes easily.

At Uniqlo 2007/12/30 13:32
I agree with 1- head straight to a Uniqlo store. Very reasonable and with a range of sizes.

Shopping in Japan is NOT one of the cheapest in the world in terms of price vs quality. There are many other places that are cheaper, way cheaper. However, some things are cheap in Japan, unlike the expensive reputation that Japan has.

Nor is shopping in Australia is EXTREMELY expensive. Certain things in Australia are expensive, while other things are cheap.
