Can someone advise if its more worthwhile to go to Nikko or Karuizawa in Feb? I only have a day or 2 to spend there? Pls advise me.

These are two completely different cities with completely different attractions. Which one to chose depends on personal preferences.
Nikko offers temples, shrines and natural landscapes, as well as onsen and some theme parks.
Karuizawa has lots of shopping, nice scenery and a ski resort.
Pick your choice!

Hi I read about Lake Chuzenji and its really beautiful. But I think its going to be freezingly cold in Feb right? Are there any good recommendations on the ryokans there or in Nikko? I'd like to spend a night there but not spending too much.
