It's my first time going to Japan. I read about the Suica card, but I'm a little confused. Is there two types? One for phones (prepaid) and one for trains? Anyone can help me? Thanks.

RC,
There is only one type of Suica card, and they cannot be used for phones. You must have misread or misunderstood what you read somewhere.

the poster may have read that a Suica "memory chip" can be installed in a telephone. But this Suica only allows the phone user to use the transit system by swiping his phone and also to make small purchases in a store. It doesn't allow the phone user to pay for phone calls. see link below: www.japan-guide.com/e/e2359_002.html
