Night activtites at Nikko

I plan to go Nikko on 19 Feb to 20 Feb. I understand that The Toshogu is open Daily from 8:00 to 17:00 (until 16:00 from November through March). Hence after 4pm there is no more site seeing.
What can I do at Nikko at night? Is it worth staying overnight at Nikko?

Overnight in Nikko is only recommended if youLre going to visit the Nikko National Park (either going to visit Ryuzu or Kegon Falls or going to Yumoto Onsen or any other activity into the park), Nikko doesnLt have any nightlife (and when I say any, I mean ANY), so I would rather go back to Tokyo if not visiting the park.

I agree with the other post. There s absolutely NO activity in Nikko at night, even restaurants and bars open are difficult to find. If you are not visiting National park the day after , don t overnight there.
