When the cherry bloomsome 2008

I paln to go to Japan during 12 April-19 April. plan to go Takayama and Japan Alps . And I would like to know where can i see the cherry bloomsom durig that periods.

However it is much too early to know when they will be blossoming in such and such a place in 2008. It changes every year depending on the weather. you will have to wait until they first start blossoming in Kyushu to get a good idea about other places. This means that you must be flexible in your plans. with a JR pass it is always possible to make a shinkansen trip for a day, relatively far from where you stay, to see the blossoms.
