Hi! WeLll e in Tokyo in May -for the whole month- and I saw some photos of Izu peninsula, and would like to visit the place. How to visit it in 1 DAY (aka - Best places) from Tokyo with No private car?? I mean, we have to go by train, then visit everything walking or getting buses. We wouldnLt mind leaving Tokyo in early morning or going two consecutive days, but always sleeping in Tokyo.

You can get to Atami at the abse of the peninsula in less than an hour by shinkansen, but to the more southern areas it is at least a 2.5 hour journey one way. So, it really depends on where in the peninsula you are planning to head. But it is possible in daytrips. More details: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6305.html
