From JR Aso Stn to Kurokawa Onsen - how could I make this bus reservations well advance in HAKATA city (not in Kumamoto or Aso Stn).

Other question is, next morning I will take early bus @ 10:35 back to JR Aso Stn, arriving 11:23 - I read that at the JR Aso Stn there is direct bus service to/from the crater
The 11:15 departure from Kurokawa takes you all the way to the crater, and after a 90 minute lunch break at the crater, back to Aso Station.
The 10:35 only as far as Aso Station, from where you would have to take local buses.
Departures from Aso Station (as of December 2005): 8:37, 9:52, 10:30, 12:10, 13:25, 14:15 and 15:20
The current timetable is:
8:57, 9:52, 10:40, 12:20, 13:25, 14:15 and 15:20
Do I need advance booking for this too?
No. Reservations are not possible for this regular local bus.

How long it needs for the whole trip and back to JR Aso Stn?
Few people spend more than 15-30 minutes at the actual crater. From the bus station, you need to ride a ropeway, which takes another 20 minute or so. Plus eventual meals. I think that 90 minutes at the summit are enough. Departures from the summit back to Aso Station:
9:50, 10:50, 12:10, 13:20, 14:10, 15:45 and 17:00
If I was able to catch 12:10 to the crater, would it be able for me to catch the JR train at 13:41 back to Kumamoto?
The bus now departs at 12:20. You arrive at the summit around 13:00. Unless the summit is closed to poisonous gases, it would not be realistic to take the 13:20 bus back to Aso Station, but rather the 14:10. The bus ride back to Aso Station takes 33 minute. So, in any case, it is not possible to catch the 13:41 train.
