I have a group of figures made of bits of cloth and ribbon glued to slightly decorated cardboard backgrounds. They come in cardboard sleeves with lettering on the cover.

I can provide pictures.

they're made from origami paper right? and dressed in traditional Japanese outfit?

I think they are washi dolls. Washi meaning "Japanese paper"
