Never heard this word used before 2008/2/9 19:22
I was talking to a new business co-worker today and as we were parting he said something to me, I understood it all...but there was a word he used I've never heard before. What exactly does ''atomodori'' mean? I kind guess from the context it's a formal way of saying ''I'' it's just that I have never heard it before.

Atomodori 2008/2/9 21:23
Cale,

Don't you use a dictionary? "後戻り" (atomodori) means "turning back" or "backtracking", but without knowing the conversation you had, it's impossible to say whether this was indeed what you heard.

Yeah, yeah 2008/2/9 21:26
Ok, if you want to know exactly what he said it was...後戻りはもう出来ない...and unfortunatly, I couldn't find it in my dictionary. Which I assume is rather odd?

No going back 2008/2/9 21:57
Cale,

後戻りはもう出来ない

That's a fairly common phrase meaning "There's no going back now".

If your dictionary is no good, use Eijiro...

I see 2008/2/9 22:10
I thought it meant something like I can't return anymore...guess I took it a little too literal eh? Oh well, I was close enough. Thanks
