Koyasan via Osaka. 2008/2/13 09:16
catch the Midosuji subway line to Namba station. You will then need to exit the subway and go on to the Nankai Railway station ( a bit confusing o find, I asked a police man). Catch the Rapid experess, ride takes hour & a half on the Koya rail line. (It is clearly marked in english, don't worry!). The last stop is Gokurakubashi station, from where you have to catch the cable car (5mins). A twenty minute bus ride will take you into town, the buses leave outside the cable car station.

Please note the nankai trains are not JR so you will have to buy a ticket. It's not too hard to figure out, if I remember correctly.

Have an awesome time, make sure you go to the Okunoin. You'll never forget it.

Oh and on the bus to the town, have your cameras ready for a huge Buddha on the left, about ten minutes into your journey. : )
