Mainly because demands are low, I cannot find any day tour operator in this area. Fukuoka is, though, not a big city and easy to explore by public transportation. I hope this site will help you.

In case you are worried about getting lost in the language: the locations you mention are very tourist-friendly and can easily be visited without a guide, with placenames and instructions in both English and Japanese.
I'm guessing you want to visit Mitaka for the Ghibli Museum. Check out a JTB office first in order to get a ticket.

Nicole is probably interested in Miyazaki the prefecture not Miyazaki the animator. The Ghibli Museum is in Tokyo, but she is interested in Kyushu, quite far away from each other.

miyazaki 2008/2/22 09:56
ha ha ha.... ya. i've a friend who stays in miyazaki. I intend to visit her, i'm from singapore by the way. i find the domestic airfare from fukouka to miyazaki very costly... and was deciding if i should just take a bus or join a few day trip that ends in miyazaki.

Bus = i cant find any direct bus from FUK Int'L airport to Miyazaki Eki. even super pheonix, i've to switch buses. and in between switches, i've gotta wait about 40 to 60 mins...

Day Trip tour= no luck yet....

any bus operator to recommend that does direct from FUK Int's Airport to Miyazaki eki?

perhaps i should take the train instead... any suggestions?

thanks!!
