I'm planning on spending my summer vacation in Japan this year and i'm thinking of staying at a farmhouse for perhaps a month or 2? I know that they have accomodations for weekend stays. But, i'm not sure where i can find a mishuku farmhouse for the trip. Please help!!

There are two suggestions I can make. One is, try the www.jnto.go.jp website, and follow the accommodation links to organizations like the Japanese minshuku organization that might be able to help you.
The other is you could try the WWOOF site...you can stay at a farm or ski area in exchange for working. I know nothing about how this works or how their track record is, I just know it exists:
