Hakone trip with luggage

I plan to make a 2-day trip to Hakone. I will travel with a medium-sized suitcase. Can I board the Tozan railway train from Hakone Yumoto to Gora and then take the cable train to Sounzan with a suitcase ?

Yes, it should be okay, especially on weekdays, when the trains are usually not so crowded.

Of yourse you can bring your suit case to the train. But if you go Hakone from Tokyo areas, it is much cheaper to use the bus from Shinjyuku. It will go to Ashi-lake.

I get off at Kami-Gora station on Tozan cable car line. My hotel is nearby.

Go to Ashi-lake and you can see beautiful Mt.Fuji.

That is simply not true! The bus costs 2000 yen one way to Lake Ashi. The train costs 1150 yen one way to Hakone Yumoto. For many people, the Hakone Free Pass is the best solution. Here are your options:
