Hi
I have bought a JR pass (green class). Do you recommend me to book seats in Green class ?

of course. the seats are wider and the cabins are quieter (when not crowded), anyway, isn't that is what you paid extra for?

For shinkansen and express trains, you have to reserve seats in the Green cars, as there are no non-reserved seats. In a sense, that is one disadvantage of the Green class pass.
Only on local trains (e.g. in the Tokyo area) are there Green cars which are non-reservable.
