We fly into NRT and out of HND 3PM next day. Where should we stay?

What time do you arrive in Narita? Unless you arrive in Narita late at night, I think it is better to move to central Tokyo and stay there. Maybe Shinagawa?

I'd take the Narita Express in to Shinjuku for the night. Easy to get back out to Daimon station on the Toei Oedo line then the monorail to Hanada from Hamamatsucho from there. Plenty of options depending on how many hours you have.
