Translation Help 2008/3/9 03:57
I recently bought a 'gold' ring at an auction and it has some asian language characters on the inside of the band. I assume they are Japanese as other items sold at the same time were from Japan but I am unsure. I have reproduced the characters to the best of my ability in paint. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks. This link should get you to the characters.

Now your "reproduction" seems to be properly uploaded - it does not look like Japanese the way it is at all. Do you have any photograph of the ring itself? The thing is, you might not be viewing it in the right direction in the first place...

I don't even know if it is Japanese, only based on the other objects for sale with it. Hope this helps.

Not Japanese 2008/3/10 08:10
That doesn't look like Japanese at all to me, whichever way around I look at it. Arabic maybe?
