Takayama Spring Festival and Resort

I am thinking about seeing the Takayama Spring Festival next year, and also want to stay at a nice Hot Springs resort with a dinner plan.
I want to ask that whether the night festival on the 14th will conflict with the resort dinner? In order words, I must choose between either seeing the night festival or having a nice resort dinner?

Most ryokan will offer the option to have dinner earlier than usual on April 14th, so that guests can attend the evening festival.
