Ryan,

I'm not sure what you mean by "down" either, but your name would be written as "ライアン" (Raian) in Japanese. "Raiyan" would sound similar, but "Raian" is the normal way of writing it.

Since you mentioned that it's German, I assume the J sounds like a Y.
ヨハンネず マッャ泣h
Yohannezu Massorudo

イバン マッャ泣h
Iban Massorudo

But that's when I just guessed at how your name is pronounced. If this seems wrong, then let us know how you pronounce your name.

Since you say German and Russian, I imagine that "Johannes" is pronounced like "yo-ha-ne-s" and "Ivan" as "i-wa-n" (not with "v" or "b" sound, but more with "w"). If I am right, in katakana, it would be ヨハネス and イワン. (The one above has hiragana and katakana mixed.) Please let us know if I have the pronunciation wrong.

About the family name, I'd have to wait till you describe to us how it's pronounced...

Ivan (rus. ァレァモァムァ゚) is pronounced as Iwィ「n.

''Mィ「ssold'', this is the hard part.

''Ma'' like in the word ''Ma''ster

''ss'' like in the word critical ma''ss''

''old'' :( there is no such l in english, i think. Something like light.

I hope it is better to comprehend now.
