Osaka Cherry Blossom Viewing

According to the Japan Mint
''2008 Cherry Blossom Viewing in Osaka'' is going to be April 16-22, 2008

I am a little puzzle because the JMA forecast the start blooming date in Osaka on March 30, 2008

Why it is so different?

Can anyone explain me about this?

When is the best time to see Sakura in Osaka?
Between April 7-13 or April 16-22
Whould it be too early for akura if I visit Osaka on April 10, 2008
Please kindly suggest me.

This is because Osaka Mint is full of late blooming cherry tree varieties rather than the "main stream" somei yoshino:

Hi, i will be visiting tokyo from 26 to 29 Mar, Kyoto on 29 Mar and Osaka from 30 to 31 Mar....So would I stand a chance to view sakura???
