Hotel Kitcho vs Kimi Ryokan 2008/3/17 00:22
Hi!

I do not know if I should better stay at Kitcho Hotel or Kimi Ryokan.

Advantages of Kimi are japanese style room and good location in Yamanote Line, but disadvantages respect Kitcho are curfew and that Kimi has no shower and toilet in the room.

How long can I take me to get from Kitcho to Shinkuju,Shibuya and Harajuku? And from Kimi? If it only takes 10 or 15 minutes more from Kitcho I would prefer to go for this one.

Please let me know what you think.

THanks!

From Kimi Ryokan (all via JR Yamanote line).

Ikebukuro -
Shinjuku: 6 minutes, direct.
Shibuya: 11 minutes, direct.
Harajuku: 13 minutes, direct.

All plus 7 minutes walk to Ikebukuro JR station.

From Hotel Kitcho (all via subway).

Suitengumae - Shinkuju: 30 minutes, one change.

Hamacho - Shinjuku Sanchome: 16 minutes, direct.

Suitengumae - Shibuya: 20 minutes direct.

Ningyocho - Meiji-jingumae (for Harajuku): 26 minutes, one change.

All plus 5 minutes walk to each subway station.

I have stayed at the Hotel Kitcho and enjoyed the place, but I found it a little too far "out of the loop" for me.

You might want to check out this Toyoko Inn at Otsuka, 2 minutes from the station:
