I am studying at a University in Kawagoe this coming august. My friend wants to buy tickets to visit me during winter break for his school in U.S. Do japanese univ. get winter breaks as well. More well put, what is the break schedule like for the year? Thanks

ya i checked already. nothin up yet. does that mean there is no general holidays or breaks for schools in Tokyo?

Generally speaking, schools in Japan at least has vacation during the last week of December up to the first week of January. Depending on your classes, the vacation may last longer, and depending on your club activities it may become shorter.
