Hi, Is it a must to get a through ticket for Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route at Toyama Sta? I am thinking of going to Tateyama station from Tonami Station as I want to go for the Tonami Tulip Fair. Is this advisable. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you very much.

No. You can also buy single tickets for specific sections.
