I am planning free n easy tour from Singapore to Tokyo and Hokkaido.

Can anyone advise me how to purchase domestic airticket from Tokyo to Hokkaido?

From Tokyo to Hokkaido

You can book it via JTB in Takashimaya in Ngee Ann City in orchard road.
Or..
You can try the following websites:
http://www.ai-ticket.com/english/
http://www.jal.co.jp/en/
http://www.ana.co.jp/eng/index.html
http://www.skymark.co.jp/en/index.html

If you can read japanese
http://www.airdo.jp/ap/index.html

For JAL and ANA flights you might want to consider the Air passes
Details here http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2364.html

As for accomodations
Budget as in with attached toilet or not? And what is your planned budget range?

Singapore to Tokyo & Hokkaido 2008/3/26 00:28
Now the real problem is that I could not get discounted domestic air tickets because of embargo period in Japan. I was told one-way air ticket from Tokyo to Hokkaido costs S$437.
Does anyone know how to get cheap airticket? Hope can save time on travelling as I have a 3 year old girl with me.

Is it worthwhile to take overnight JR train from Tokyo to Hokkaido? The journey is really very "painful", too long...

Fyi, I am flying to Tokyo Narita on 28 March and return to Singapore on 3 April. Quite a short trip. Plan to spend 1 to 2 days in Tokyo, mainly to Disneyland and shopping. Plan to spend at least 3 to 4 days in Hokkaido. Do you advise to rent car in Hokkaido?

Thanks.

domestic flight 2008/3/26 00:41
when is your date of travel? you can book your domestic flight tickets from the ANA.co.jp/eng website. they are definitely much cheaper than what was quoted to you. however, bear in mind that the cheapest tickets are open for purchase only 2 months prior to travel date, so you may want to check nearer to the date you want.

If you mean this coming march 28, you had better book your accomodations quickly, as it's going to be fairly fully booked (through my experience) in Tokyo.

Yes, ANA you should be able to get tickets, but since it's a little late I doubt you can get any cheaper tickets.

Seems you have bought a SIN--NRT return ticket. Is it right? Is your flight SQ11 on 2 April?

Skymark still quotes reasonable prices for the dates you desire to fly.

31 March Tokyo Haneda to Sapporo Chitose: 13,300 yen to 17,800 yen each way p.p.

2 April Chitose to Haneda: 13,300 yen to 14,800 yen each way p.p.
