I'll go to Matsusaka city next month, and I'd like to know if there's a good Matsusaka beef restaurant around Matsusaka station. Thank you very much.

. . . website has a flyer on Matsuzaka (I think it's combined with Ise and Toba). They have recommendations for a few cheap places. I tried a place at a small shopping mall near the train station (don't recall the exact name). 6800 yen for a 200 gm steak. Only came with a few veggies to grill, no rice even. But it was good. For me, better than Kobe but I prefer Yonezawa. When you bit into the slices, there was a peculiar crunch. I guess fat globules bursting, as my steak was pretty rare.
They say don't eat Matsusaka beef in Matsusaka because it's expensive, but at least you know it's genuine.
