Cheap restaurants near Kyoto Univ.

Where are some cheap places to eat (ramen shops, etc) near Kyoto University? I am going to be moving to Kyoto in the summer while I attend Kyoto U. to study Japanese, but like all college students would like to eat cheaply.

Don't worry! There're many "cheap" eating places near Hyakumanben and Higashi-Ichijo. Ask your friends at the university and they'll let you know :)
And when you really want to eat "cheap," go to the cafeteria in the university! As long as I remember, there're at least 3-4 cafeterias within the compound.

Like in the USA, there are usually cheap places to eat around universities.
