hello. I'm going to stay in Japan for two weeks, based on tokyo and Kyoto. I would like to know, using JR, from where is it easier to go to Matsumoto, Takayama and Inuyama.

Matsumoto, Takayama and Inuyama.
What are you after?
Matsumoto is about 3 hrs 30 min from Tokyo or Nagoya.
Takayama is about 2 hrs 30 min from Nagoya.
Inuyama is less than 1 hr from Nagoya and can be practically considered within Nagoya.

We're going to stay in tokio and kyoto, and it's just to organize the visits, if it's closer from tokio or kyoto to sleep in that city that night.
