tokyo business hotel 2008/4/1 03:13
Anybody heard of Tokyo Business Hotel in Shinjuku? What can you say about it?

Is it safe? What about the location? We want to stay at a place when you go out, it would be lively even at night.

As I've never heard of it, I googled it. This hotel is not close to Shinjuku station. (7 min walk either from Shinjuku 3-chome station or Shinjuku Gyoen station) And it has a curfew (0:30) and even staying guests need to vacant their rooms between 10am to 4pm for cleaning.

These are reasonable hotels near Shinjuku station.

Hotels in Tokyo 2008/4/1 13:50
Forget the business hotels... they will run you 130- 280 per night.. if you are looking for a bed and a shower, just go with a love hotel. Cash at the door no questions asked and you'll pat 30 - 75 per night. It might be a little cramped but its all good.

what is a business hotel 2008/4/1 14:49
I do not recommend to make a love hotel as your base for overnight in Tokyo. Expect a love hotel to allow overnight guests only starting late night and for one night only. Business hotels ( in the Japanese meaning: hotel with many small single rooms, compact bath, toilet for the Japanese business men on travel with only functional comfort , maybe compared to a western two star hotel ) start in Tokyo at around Yen 7000 per single room. In my opinion ideal for the budget minded visitor, too. Western Style hotels of the 5 star category for the western business traveller start at around Yen 20 000.
