Fastest way from Takayama to Osaka

I'd like to go to Osaka from Takayama. Many of the guide book suggested to visit Kanazawa first and then to Osaka by Thunderbird. Any other suggestions for the fastest way from Takaya to Osaka but not vis Kanazawa?

TAKAYAMA(12:43) OSAKA(16:17) 10310 3hours 34min (357.1 km) you need to change trains 2times. if you want to leave early the trip takes a bit longer. It may depend on the day of the week too.
