I will be traveling with my spouse, who uses a wheelchair, from Narita to Yokohama where we expect to sightsee for two weeks. Can we expect significant accessability problems moving around the city? I expect that travel by train would be difficult if not impossible. Thanks

You can use the trains, it would be better if you have a way of preparing ahead of time, but the station personnel will set up a ramp for you at each station. Not all stations have elevators, but most. check out this site: http://hubpages.com/hub/Japan-for-People-with-DisabilitiesIt has a brief overview of traveling in Japan with a wheelchair and some good links with good info.
