3 Days Kyoto or 2 Days Kyoto, 1 Osaka?

I have three full days in Kyoto and am currently booking hotels. Is there plenty to do in Kyoto for three days, or is it worth one in Osaka?

3 days isn't near enough for Kyoto. One could stay for 2 weeks and only see some of the major sights. At the same time Osaka is also interesting. So your plan of 2 in Kyoto, 1 in Osaka is ok. But you need to do way more research as your question proves that you aren't familiar enough with both places. try Japan A-Z (top of this page) for a start.
