How to say... 2008/5/6 12:04
I remember going to Japan in the early winter and we were looking for a non-smoking restaurant.

We wanted to ask the lady if the restaurant was a non-smoking restaurant but weren't sure how to say it.

Is there any way to say, "Is this a non-smoking restaurant?"

If you want to ask if the WHOLE restaurant is non-smoking:
- Zen-seki kin'en desu ka? (Are all seating non-smoking?)

Or you can ask them the following question and see how big the non-smoking area is:
- Kin'en seki wa arimasu ka? (Do you have non-smoking seating/section?)
