Expressing deep gratitude 2008/6/9 17:48
Hi, I'm a Spanish girl studying Japanese. Next week we have our last lesson in the first grade, and I'd like to give my teacher a "thank you" card written in Japanese. But I wouldn't like to say only "arigatou gozaimasu" but something more personal, to let her know that her sympathy and support have meant a lot to me. What would be the best way to express my gratitude? Thanks for your help.

Why not write about specific things you appreciated about her? Memories, perhaps. Try to write them in Japanese by yourself. The teacher would appreciate it rather than recieving something you picked up on-line. If you need to have them looked over, feel free to post it here. But personally, I think that original words full of mistakes are a lot better than perfect notes but copied.
