Mail fowarding 2008/6/20 22:26
Does anyone know if Japan post has mail forwarding? I didn't see it on the (english) site. I'm moving soon (within tokyo) and want to get my mail forwarded for a month or 2 if I can..

yes there is. 2008/7/5 22:37
I hope this is not too late....
Please go to Post Office and fill out "Change of Address Notice." It is written both in Japanese and English.
Once you submit it, it will become effective in a week and last for a year.
The notice is valid only within Japan.

It's called "tenkyo todoke" (relocation/moving notice). You can go to the nearest post office and ask for the form, if you know your new address already you can fill it out on the spot and hand it in. Be sure to take some kind of ID with you. Or you can post it later (they might call on you later to make sure of your identity).
