Im going to Japan for a one week trip and wanna try out some one-liners in bars or cafes etc, but have completely no idea of the Japanese language!!! Anyone know any good Pick up lines? I looked here http://www.pillowtalkjapan.com and it was pretty good but most of the phrases seemed a little to jokey.... could work ok i guess... do japanese girls like jokesters???

Peter,
They have been around for a long time now, but I found the two "Making Out in Japanese" books really good for learning colloquial Japanese - not just limited to chat-up lines. I would definitely recommend getting hold of them on Amazon or somewhere.

OMG! That site is hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing- the adolf hitler line in the flirting section really got me! ^_^ A book that I found helpful was the following- http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/displayProductDeta... It provides a great number of phrases and explainations of words that can be used to express emotions (love related and otherwise) in Japanese. Many of the phrases are ones that are not usually taught in the classroom and are very useful.

The Pillow Talk site was... well, I only read the Flirting section, but it was awful, some of the phrases simply wrong as well. I would definitely stay away from anyone who, if any, tries to approach me with any of the lines lol.
Note that trying to be playful with lengthy phrases in a language you don't know well can be quite challenging...

Is that site supposed to be serious?
Im not sure how well "Don't worry, my neighbours a doctor. shinpai nai yo, tonari no hito wa isha san da kara. しんぱいないよ、となりのひとはいしゃさんだから。 " would go down after a first date....
