Best place to eat breakfast Ebisu area? 2008/7/17 20:55
Going to Tokyo, October 10-20, Staying at the Westin in Ebisu. Can you name a few places for breakfast both Japanese style and Bakery/Café to get some good hearty food in the morning? Budget below $12 please. I like hanging out where the locals hang out.

(20-something here going on vacation)

Your best bet would be the Westin but you could mosey on over to McDonalds in Ebisu Garden Place.

Most locals eat breakfast at home then have a harried lunch. The evenings are when they relax and have a leisurely repast.

Many of the locals hang out in Starbucks- there's one either side of Ebisu station. There's your bakery/ cafe- not sure about Japanese style.

There is a department store and a mall at Ebisu place with several restaurants, coffee shops etc. there. You could also buy some cereals and milk, fruits in a convenience store, like 7-11, and eat them as you get up then have a "real" breakfast near (or in) a rail station on the Yamanote line. Lots of places have a "breakfast set" of 1 eggg, ham, toast and tea or coffee.
